WHS Model United Nations Team Attends Conference at Harvard University
Williamston High School's Model United Nations team visited Boston to participate in the Harvard Model United Nations Conference.
Students participated in a number of historical and modern simulations. Topics included; the Treaty of Versailles, climate change, public health in the Americas, terrorism in the age of the internet, the Argentinian Senate, healthcare access, early education in developing countries and sexual violence during wartime. The majority of the WHS delegates represented Brazil, but we had a few representing the Holy See, Sao Tome' and Principe, and France.
In addition to the conference, students had the opportunity to explore Boston and Cambridge, visit Harvard, and walk the Liberty Trail to visit sites of the Revolutionary War.
