International Science Partnership Program Visits Williamston High School
Williamston High School Chemistry in the Earth students received a presentation from a group of international scientists called "FluffyScience." The science learning experience is part of a Michigan State University and University of Warsaw partnership to help create interest in science. The lesson's theme focused on interactive science experiences that could be done with "stuff" from your kitchen.
Fluffy Science was created for the 100th Anniversary of Poland-US Diplomatic Relations by the Polish Cultural Institute in New York. The initiative is supported by a collaboration with Michigan State University and the University of Warsaw. The workshop was led by the Polish-US team of Professor Gary Blanchard of Michigan State and Dr. Magdalena Osial of the University of Warsaw. Williamston was one of just two mid-Michigan districts selected by MSU for involvement in the program.
