Williamston Hosts 57th Jim Mooney Classic Wrestling Invitational
The 57th Jim Mooney Classic Wrestling Invitational was held at Williamston High School. Sixteen Teams competed in the tournament named after longtime Williamston coach Jim Mooney, who was present for a 20th-anniversary celebration of the 1999 State Champion team.
Williamston finished fourth in the team standings with 127 points, only 1.5 points behind third-place Southgate Anderson. Fellow CAAC school Eaton Rapids won the tournament with New Boston Huron finishing second.
