Fall Facility Enhancements

WCS completed several planned facility enhancements throughout the fall. Examples included the installation of egress windows in select locations at the high school, inclusive swing sets at the preschool, and audio/visual upgrades in the WHS performance gym. 

Egress windows were installed in applicable classrooms at WHS based on the outcome of physical security assessments. The project was supported with Section 97 school safety categorical funds:

Outdated scoreboards and an antiquated sound system were replaced at the high school performance gym ("Hornets' Nest"):

New wall pads were installed at the Explorer Elementary gymnasium. The gym was repainted over the summer:

An additional single-user restroom facility was built at Williamston Middle School. Supported by the District Sinking Fund, the space was formerly a storage closet:
