Innovative Vehicle Design Team Wins Multiple Awards
Williamston’s Innovative Vehicle Design (IVD) team distinguished itself at Square One's 16th Annual IVD Competition. The event was held at Kettering University's GM Mobility Research Center. The team won the premier hour-long race and the Innovation Award. Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist met with the team and started the race.
IVD is a club at Williamston High School with the goal of designing and building a clean energy, electric go-Kart to race in competitions. Fifteen Williamston students attended the Kettering event from the roughly twenty students on the team.
