WCS Hosts Spring Be Nice Events
WCS continues its commitment to removing the stigma surrounding mental health and providing resources for students via the Be Nice program. Williamston Middle School hosted a spring Be Nice track meet and Williamston High School a home soccer match.
Be Nice is a student-led initiative that encourages individuals to challenge themselves and others to seek appropriate professional help when they notice mental health concerns. Be Nice student clubs strive to create a positive culture, increase mental health referrals, and promote behaviors that prevent suicide. In addition to in-school lessons and events as well as community newsletters and webinars, the WCS Be Nice clubs also sponsor community events to share information and provide resources. There will be two such events this spring, hosted by the Williamson Middle School and Williamston High School Be Nice Chapters. The Williamston Community is invited to visit the website and attend future events to learn more about the program, gain access to resources, and support our students.
