The Williamston Be Nice Student Organization sponsored the 2023 Be Nice Basketball games. The event included information on student mental health awareness and services, including announcements from student-athletes.
Be Nice is a student-driven mental health awareness and suicide prevention initiative. It encourages students to Notice, Invite, Challenge, and Empower themselves and their peers. The goal of the organization is to reduce the stigma around mental health. Student members and faculty advisors promote open dialogue about mental health matters and provide resources for applicable services.
Be Nice athletic events represent a collaboration between Williamston Haslett Public Schools, a fellow Be Nice district.
Williamston has Be Nice Chapters at Williamston High School and Williamston Middle School.
