The Williamston Full-Scale Innovative Vehicle Design (IVD) Team completed another successful season, bringing home three 2nd Place Trophies from the May competition at Kettering University’s test track facility.
Full-Scale IVD is a STEM initiative sponsored by the SquareOne network that challenges students to create a clean energy go-kart that competes in different specified tasks. The team received the 2nd place trophies in the overall Competition, for their Video Presentation and for Craftsmanship on the kart. The overall Competition included diagnosing beacon signals, an arduino ultrasonic sensor distance challenge, a figure 8 course and an hour long race on the Kettering Test Track. Members of the team include Jacob, Liam, Will, Austin, Peter, Thien, Jackson, Hunter, Ike and Owen. The IVD club is sponsored by Mr. Steve Kersten.
