Williamston First Robotics Impresses at District Event
The Williamston High School First Robotics team participated in the Lansing District Event, earning a Top 20 finish. The robotics team is the competition branch of the District's award-winning K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) initiative.
The WHS First Team is in only its second full season of in-person competition. The team started from scratch in 2018 but has rapidly become a respected team in the state. The District has earned over $60,000 in grants to support the initiative. The team now has its own robotics lab at the high school along with tools, electronics, and transportation assets.
