Academic Overtime (AOT) commenced at Williamston High School and Williamston Middle School. The program allows students opportunities to meet with teachers of their choice for additional academic intervention or enrichment. AOT is another example of the District's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) philosophy.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support utilize data to provide customized supports for students throughout the District. AOT at the secondary buildings is an additional layer of MTSS, empowering students to make decisions on how best to utilize the provided enrichment or intervention sessions. Both Williamston Middle School and Williamston High School run an AOT period one time a week. AOT is connected to Board of Education Goal #1, Provide High-Quality Educational Experiences for All Students.
