WMS Project Citizen Team Earns "Exceptional" Rating at 2021 National Showcase
The Williamston Middle School Project Citizen Team earned an "Exceptional" rating at the 2021 National Showcase. WMS was the only middle school and one of just two schools from Michigan selected to participate. Only 21 total K-12 schools were recognized at the national level.
The WMS project focused on school emergency response systems and preparedness plans. The group advanced to the national event after qualifying at regionals last June. Students who contributed to the project include Anna, Cassidy, Tamera, Julia, Katie, Madeline, Hunter, and Garrett.
