Students at Explorer Elementary School participated in a modified 5th-grade camp. The annual tradition was postponed in the fall due to Covid-19. Teachers were determined to provide this experience to students before the end of the year and developed a new camp concept.
Instead of transporting students off-campus, the activities were hosted on the expansive grounds of Explorer Elementary. Activities included a variety of nature-themed integrated arts opportunities as well as cooperative games. The camp was made available to both in-person and remote students and was extremely well attended.
Thank you to the 5th-grade teaching team for overcoming obstacles and finding a way to provide the camp experience to students.
