The Math and Science Academy (MSA) at Williamston High School presented its 2021 STEAM Showcase. The event included live demonstrations and dialogue sessions between student researchers and attendees. The annual event provides students in the MSA an opportunity to share their original scientific findings with the community.
MSA Sophomores worked on projects such as advanced gaming, creating a paper airplane launcher, making a 3-D printed drone, and S’more making robots. Juniors focused on projects that include various topics on masks, microplastics contamination in water and snow, Covid-19’s impact on sports, and the impact of aroma and sound on associative learning in MSA Research.
The showcase is part of the District's Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) initiative.
