Elementary STEAM Lab

  • The Elementary Campus Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) laboratory is the first of its kind in Michigan. The lab was recognized as the 2019 Education Excellence award recipient by SET SEG and the Michigan Association of School Boards (M.A.S.B.). All students from developmental kindergarten/young fives to fifth-grade have the opportunity to attend class in the lab on a regular basis. The classroom is designed to foster a completely interactive and collaborative learning environment. Students have the ability to engage with an unprecedented variety of resources ranging from numerous types of programmable robots, 3-D printing, modeling and design materials, and 1:1 Chromebooks and iPads. The goal of the STEAM lab is to integrate and extend the learning that students receive in their core-content classes while simultaneously developing 21st Century skills in all elementary learners.
