Welcome to Williamston Middle School
The students and staff at WMS take great pride in maintaining a positive learning environment with high academic achievement. The foundation of our school culture is built on staying responsible, safe, engaged, and respectful. This is evidenced by the systems in place such as Be Nice and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Dedicated and collaborative educators make student learning a priority by creating quality instruction that engages students, aligns to state standards, and meets the needs of all learners. Teachers and staff support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs in the classroom and beyond.
Our success at Williamston Middle School is attributed to the collaboration between school, home, and the community. Our extracurricular activities are supported by the staff, families, and local organizations. We collectively take pride in our district and strive to support each other through active involvement with the school community.
If you are interested in learning more about WMS, please take a moment to explore this site and feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to our work together and wish you an amazing school year!

Phase 2 Plan (tentative start date March 1)
This plan increases in-person learning opportunities for Williamston Middle School students. Beginning March 1, WMS in-person students will attend afternoon/synchronous sessions five days a week. Groups A and B will be eliminated at the start of phase 2. WMS will continue with the same daily structure (AM asynchronous work time; PM synchronous class sessions), but will transition to three (3), 60-minute classes each day. The PM synchronous session will run 11:55 AM - 3:05 PM for all students (both full time in person and remote learners). Please see the WMS daily schedule and class calendar for semester 2 - phase 2 , which is scheduled to tentatively begin on March 1. During phase 2, we will continue to follow the WMS COVID Safety Protocols.
Students will continue to have the option to attend classes in-person or remotely. All students who are currently signed up for hybrid in person learning will automatically be moved to in person during phase 2. Students who are currently remote learners will remain online. If you should choose to change the current learning group for phase 2, then please contact the office at 655-4668 or email Rachel Foster at firstname.lastname@example.org.
