Mr. Patrick VanRemmen

Welcome to Discovery Elementary.  Our mission is to provide instructional excellence; engaging, integrated learning; and responsive intervention and enrichment for each student every day. We accomplish this mission by providing every child with a KIND, SAFE, COOPERATIVE, and RESPECTFUL learning environment. Our team of outstanding educators delivers a high-quality curriculum with excellent instruction in a supportive and nurturing environment.

From academics to arts integration, to positive behaviors, interventions and supports (PBIS); our team strives to develop the whole child. We value social and emotional development as much as we value academics. Our goal is for each child to be safe, healthy, engaged, challenged, supported, and valued.

Delivering the best possible education for children requires a partnership between the school and the home. You as parents, grandparents, or guardians, are critical to the success of your children. We want you to be an active and engaged participant in your child’s school. Together, we will provide your children the support they need to make lasting memories as they begin their educational journey.

We look forward to working with you to ensure your child has a positive and productive start to their education in Wiliamston Community Schools.
